PostIndexer Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 21, 2024

We respect your privacy. This privacy policy explains our practices for handling and using user information and data.

PostIndexer (“PostIndexer”, “we” or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information and data we receive from users of (the "Website") and the PostIndexer browser extension (collectively the “Services”). The PostIndexer browser extension is a commercial extension and is intended for use as is.
This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to us when you use PostIndexer software as a service through using the Website and the Services and not any other website that you may be able to access from the Website. By visiting and using the Website and Services you consent to the collection and use of your information under the terms of this Privacy Policy. As set out in this Privacy Policy, the terms "using" and "processing" information and data include using cookies on a computer, subjecting the information to statistical or other analysis and using or handling information in any way, including, but not limited to collecting, storing, evaluating, modifying, deleting, using, combining, disclosing and transferring information and data within our organisation or among our affiliates within Europe or internationally.

Information we collect and how we use it

Our main goals in collecting information and data are to provide and improve our Website, Services, features and content, and to administer your use of the Website and Services and to enable users to enjoy and easily navigate the Website. In order to do this, we collect the following information.

Personally Identifiable Information

When you register with us through the Website or Services and become a Member (“User” of our “Services”) and when you choose to contact our support or leave a comment on a blog post, and when you apply to become an Affiliate (“Promoter” of our “Services”), we will ask you for personally identifiable information. This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Information"). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, email address and home postal address, but does not include your credit card number or billing information.
We use your Personal Information to provide the Service and administer your inquiries. We reserve the right to require certain Personal Information in order for you to use the Website and Services. We may combine your Personal Information with information that does not give away your identity ("Non-Identifying Information”) and aggregate it with information collected from other PostIndexer Members and Users for internal purposes only to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the Service and to analyse and understand how our Website and Service are used. We may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically, for instance to offer a product to you according to your preferences.
As you use our Services, you may import into our system Personal Information you have collected from your users, customers, prospective customers and social media (collectively “Subscribers”) or other individuals. We have no direct relationship with your Subscribers or any person other than you, and for that reason, you are responsible for making sure you have the appropriate permission and legal basis for us to collect and process information about those individuals. As part of our Services, we may use and incorporate into features information you have provided, we have collected from you, or we have collected about Subscribers.
PostIndexer reserves the right to view any Website and Services content for the purposes of fixing problems, and to look for copyrighted or other inappropriate material.
We do not disclose Personal Information that you provide us with to any third parties other than those that we use to facilitate the functioning of the Website and Services, such as a hosting company and e-mail program for mailings.

Marketing and Promotional Materials

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. Please note that we may also use your Personal Information to contact you with information related to your use of the Service.

Like many websites, we use "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a website's computers and is stored on your computer's hard drive for record-keeping purposes.
We use cookies for two purposes. Firstly, we utilise persistent cookies to save your login information and preferences such as the language you use for future logins to the Website. Secondly, we utilise session ID cookies to enable certain features of the Website, to better understand how you interact with the Website in order to improve the Website and Website content and to monitor aggregate usage by PostIndexer Members and users and web traffic routing on the Website to estimate and report our total audience size and traffic. Third-party advertisers on the Website may also place or read cookies on your browser. We may also use cookies from social sites and programs including, but not limited to Facebook. You can configure the options in your browser to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies from the websites you visit. However, if you do not accept cookies you may not be able to use the entire Website or all functionality of the Service. For example, session cookies are required to login to your account.

Web Beacons

Our Website may contain electronic images known as web beacons. These are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyse how our Website is used and may be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.

When you visit the Website, whether as a Member or a non-registered user just browsing, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website ("System Identifiers"). These System Identifiers may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address ("IP Address"), browser type and other log data or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Website, pages of our Website that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Website, access times and dates, and other statistics.
We use this information to monitor and analyse use of the Website and the Service and for the Website's technical administration, to increase our Website’s functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor our Website to our visitors' needs. We may also use this information to verify that visitors to the Website meet the criteria required to process their requests. If you are a Member, we may associate your System Identifiers with your Personal Information in certain circumstances: PostIndexer uses certain third-party service providers to provide payment processing services, to PostIndexer for use of the Website and Services, and these third-party service providers may have access to Personal Information about PostIndexer Members and corresponding System Identifiers, including IP Addresses, in order to provide the applicable fraud detection and prevention services and payment processing services.

The Website may use social plugins, such as Facebook’s Like Button, which are provided and operated by third-party companies. Because of the use of social plugins you may send to the third-party company the information that you are viewing on a certain part of the PostIndexer Website. If you have an account with the third-party, they may be able to link information about your visit to our Website to your account with them. Similarly, your interactions with the social plugin may be recorded by the third party. Please refer to the third party’s privacy policy to find out more about its data practices, such as what data is collected about you and how the third party uses such data.

These third parties may have access to your Personal Information and Systems Identifiers; if they have such access, it is only so that they may perform these tasks on our behalf and they are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We may share aggregated information that does not include Personal Information and we may otherwise disclose Non-Identifying Information and Systems Identifiers with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other purposes. Any aggregated information shared in these contexts will not contain your Personal Information.
